Welcome to another edition of The Drop List, where we, self-proclaimed shopping obsessives, give you the lowdown on the most highly anticipated releases and intriguing launches of the past few weeks. We hope you’ll think of this as a one-stop shop to discover your new favorite brand, an emerging designer, or a fun collaboration straight out of the gate. (And, if you’re craving even more Clever content, don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter.)

February 6, 2023 – To kick things off, we’re loving Le Labo’s latest candle, AMBROXYDE 17, which repurposes the same ambergris-inspired synthetic molecule found in fan-favorite fragrance ANOTHER 13. Along with ambroxyde, the scent breakdown includes musks, woodsy elements, and jasmine petals for an almost indescribable scent experience.

February 7, 2023 – Move over basic bowls and plates, Sherród Faulks is here to give your current dinnerware a rosy makeover. In February the artist released “The Reprise,” a romantic ceramics collection finished with a soft rose-quartz glaze. While any vase from the line is a wise aesthetic choice to spruce up your space, we’ve got our eye on this sensational pasta bowl.

February 8, 2023 – Organic California persimmons are the main ingredient in Brightland’s newest offering: Folklore fermented vinegar. Tart, juicy, and just the thing to brighten up a dull dish, the brand even has a few tasty recipes on its site if you’re looking for inspiration—including Korean fried chicken salad with persimmon vinaigrette, and a quick pickles & tinned fish rice bowl.

February 10, 2023 – House of Spoils celebrated its 10th anniversary last month, which included an exciting exhibit in Tokyo as well as new artwork to welcome spring. In anticipation of sunnier days to come (and because you know we love our stripes) consider bringing in year-round beach vibes to your space with this eye-catching print from Natalie Obradovich.

February 14, 2023 – This glass pipe from Edie Parker is very egg-cellent to say the least. Available in three colorways and made of borosilicate glass, it’s perfect for bringing a touch of whimsy to your next smoke session and can be proudly displayed on your coffee table. Either way, we think you’ll enjoy having this cheerful yolk in your collection.

February 16, 2023 – Designed for Hay by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the colorful Balcony collection is everything you could want for your outdoor furniture set-up. Rounded holes throughout the designs make each piece feel airy while the durable powder-coated steel construction is coated with an outdoor primer for resilience and durability.

February 16, 2023 – The opening of Tappan Collective’s first physical gallery space in Los Angeles was another launch we celebrated last month. Working with architect Marco Marraccini from Abramson Architects, and interior designer Brandi Howe, the space was designed to artfully showcase the brand’s extensive catalog of emerging artists, and further generate visibility and exposure with art lovers.

February 17, 2023 – Chamberlain Coffee takes on tea time with its latest duo: green tea and citrus chamomile tea. Calming and equally lovely whether you choose to brew hot or iced, this very giftable set include a yellow double-wall mug that’ll surely become your new favorite morning accessory.

February 20, 2023 – We think these very funky (and not to mention microwave- and dishwasher-safe) measuring cups that just dropped at Great Jones can easily do double (or triple) duty. Use them for their intended purpose when whipping up your fave recipes, in lieu of drinking cups, or even as unconventional vessels to hold stems or maybe even utensils.

February 20, 2023 – In need of a manicure? Catbird’s got you covered. Last month the brand behind some of our favorite jewelry designs launched a line of shimmering nail polishes that would evoke jealousy in any mermaid (affectionately called “shell polish”). Containing plant-derived glitter and a vegan formula, they’re the perfect way to add some subtle sparkle to any outfit.

February 22, 2023 – Last month, Clever-approved artist and designer Sophie Lou Jacobsen and Maison Balzac joined forces to unveil a very exciting candle, La Pluie (French for “the rain”). Inspired by the subtle romance of first rain, the invigorating scent has punchy notes of petitgrain, white musk, and black pepper. As for the vessel, each soy and coconut wax candle is housed in one of SLJ’s iconic ripple cups that’s ready to repurpose after burning.

February 22, 2023 – Plant Kween, one of our favorite experts for all things green, teamed up with 1-800-Flowers.com to create a succulent garden workshop for anyone interested in elevating their houseplant game. Available to stream from the comfort of your home, Join Christopher as they teach viewers step-by-step how to design a bespoke cactus community with a kit full of succulents shipped to you directly by the brand.

February 22, 2023 – Big spring break plans? Whether you’ve got an extended getaway or a weekend trip in tow, we think you deserve a luggage upgrade. Thankfully, Quince (who makes some of our favorite bedding) recently released new hard shell luggage with all the design features you want: Lightweight construction (a carry-on weighs just under seven pounds), Japanese-crafted 360 degree wheels, TSA-approved locks, and a smooth gliding telescopic handle.

February 23, 2023 – At the very top of our home decor wish list for spring is pretty much everything from the new arrivals section at Areaware. From decor in charming color schemes to aesthetically elevated kitchen essentials, they’ve pretty much got it all. We’d start with these abstract tea towels from Josh Itiola and venture into the salt and pepper shakers from Dusen Dusen.

February 23, 2023 – We recommend replenishing your snack cabinet with the newest mini packs from Partake. Just like the rest of the brand’s lineup of allergy-friendly snacks and treats, these bite-size sprinkle cookies are safe for mostly everyone who has to pay extra attention to the ingredients list.

March 1, 2023 – Virtuvi’s newest Glow Diffuser was definitely a bright spot in our week. Providing the same chic scent experience as the beloved Stone Diffuser, the more accessibly priced model comes in at $65 and allows you to scent your space for four hours continuously or eight hours intermittently. Our favorite part? The device’s LED light emits a soft glow from the entire cover so you can easily set the mood for your room of choice.
